Replacing a sealed headlight assembly is much easier than you might think. First, locate the screws that hold the housing to the lamp. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws and gently unplug the bulb from the housing. Next, remove any bulbs from the housing and carefully lift out the old light. Place it on a flat surface to inspect for cracks and debris. Next, if you want to reuse your old bulb, clean off any debris from around it and reinsert it into its socket. If you want to replace it with a new one, put it in place and secure it with some double-sided tape or electrical tape. How to replace an unsealed headlight assembly?

In most cases, replacing an unsealed headlight assembly is as simple as removing the old one and replacing it with a new one. However, there are some cases in which you may have to remove the entire headlight assembly to replace the bulb or aim cover. In these cases, make sure to check for any cracks in the plastic or rubber seal that surrounds the bulb before reassembling your Jeep.

To replace a headlight assembly, follow these steps:

1) Remove all loose items from the inside of your Jeep, such as sunglasses and loose change.

2) Unbolt the headlight assembly from the metal prongs on the radiator support.

3) After removing the headlight assembly, remove all electrical connectors and turn off your Jeep’s ignition and headlights.

4) Insert a flathead screwdriver into one of the mounting holes on the new headlight assembly and gently pry it out of place until it releases itself from the hole.

5) Once removed, place both halves of the new replacement headlight into place using two washers on each side of each bolt hole to ensure a tight fit.

6) Once installed, connect all electrical connectors and turn on your Jeep’s lights and ignition to test the operation of your new headlight assembly.
