medicines side effect

Cancer is a severe, disastrous disease. It is a life-threatening condition that requires radio and chemotherapy. Although chemotherapy works well to reduce the cancerous cells in the body, it brings along a lot of side effects.

Many people become weak and depressed after going through chemotherapy. It takes your hair away, eats away your weight, causes stress, anxiety, nausea, and body aches, and makes you fragile. Thankfully, all these side effects are curable naturally.

Yes, the following are a few ways you can naturally tame the side effects of chemotherapy:

A Mild Workout

Having a lazy lifestyle with little to no physical activity can make your symptoms worse. Therefore, it is recommended to work out regularly. Although you won’t be able to do hardcore exercises when going through chemotherapy or right after it, you always work out lightly.

Simply go for a walk in a nearby park every day for a few minutes and let the greenery sink in. It will leave a soothing effect on your mind and body. The same goes for body stretching. Stretch your arms and legs slightly twice a day.

Medicinal Herbs

When you’re already taking high potency medications like chemotherapy drugs, it’s a sensible course of action to not take anymore. Instead of allopathic painkillers and antidepressants, you should stick to herbs and plants.

Herbs and plants, unlike allopathic medicines, have minimal to zero side effects. One of such herbs and plants is cannabis-infused shatter. It is typically recommended to people with cancer to relieve body aches, nausea, stress, and anxiety. It also improves your appetite, which you may lose after chemotherapy.

Meditation

Ranking third is meditation. People who go through cancer are often recommended to meditate. Meditation is a holistic treatment method that promotes your physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

If you’re still going through chemotherapy, meditate once a day and if you’re done with your chemo cycles, you should start meditating twice a day. It won’t take more than 5-10 minutes of your time and you will surely start feeling better.

A Healthy Diet and Sleep Cycle

While you may not realize it, your diet and sleep have a significant effect on your mind and body. When recovering from chemotherapy, you must have a healthy diet and sleep cycle. The two things are imperative for you to recover well.

Make sure to add fresh fruits, vegetables, and protein-rich foods to your diet. The same goes for your sleep. Be sure to sleep for 7-8 hours regularly. It will relax you from head to toe and will help you recover better.

Support Groups

Last but not least, please don’t forget to join a support group. Having cancer is a life-changing experience. People go really down and become depressed when going through such an all-consuming disease.

Joining a support group and meeting people with similar experiences is going to be positive for you. You’ll know you’re alone in this battle and with willpower and positivity, you will get out of it and you’ll be stronger than ever before.  So, let’s join our hands in defeating this monstrous disease and putting it to sleep, once and for all. I wish you nothing but the best, a long and prosperous life. Get well soon, my pals!
